Script BlenderFluid v1.3 for 3dsmax 2008 (also works in 3dsmax 9, 8). Tool to import obj-files into 3dsmax during rendering. For example liquid-object from Blender. More information about the script you can find here (russian forum): http://3dcenter.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=62796 Installation: Copy file BlenderFluid_1.3.mse to 3dsmax folder plugins, run 3dsmax and find the script in Create/Geometry list. Press BlenderFluid button. How to work: You have a folder with obj-files. Press "Get *.obj files path" button and pick this folder. Script will scan this folder, tell you how many obj-files inside and ask do you need to create dat-files. If you agree then it starts the creation of dat-files in the same folder. The results of creation you will see in MAXScript Listener. dat-file is a text file to store vertices coordinates of the mesh-object and numbers of them. You don't need to perform dat-files creation every time you run the script. After creation just pick the folder with those files by "Get *.dat files path" button. First way to create geometry (fast): 1. Pick folder with dat-files. 2. Move to frame 1 and leftclick in viewport (by the way script moves to frame 1 itself). The object will be created (sometimes needs a few seconds to build, it depends of the mesh complexity). 3. Press Auto Key button. 4. Move to the last frame. 5. Press "Manual Update" button. 6. Turn Auto Key off and move to frame 0. 7. Start Rendering. IMPORTANT: Script updates the geometry only at render time. Numbers of frames MUST be equal numbers of dat-files and numbers of keyframes at "File Number" spinner. For example you have dat-files from testmesh_1.dat to testmesh_12.dat. The creation process will be like this (second way - slow): 1. Pick folder with dat-files. 2. Move to frame 1. 3. Leftclick in viewport. 4. Wait, while object will be created. 5. Press Auto Key button. 6. Move to frame 12. 7. Set "File Number" spinner value to 12. 8. Turn Auto Key off and move to frame 1. 9. Press F10 and set visualization range from 1 to 12. 10. Start Rendering. If there is no object when you click - check that the active frame number equal the number of the dat-file. Restart script, pick the dat-folder and leftclick in viewport again. You can stop the script by pressing ESC button. Enjoy and tell "thanks" to me and ja_electronic :) 1acc
